Evile

Tonight is about Thrash, Thrash and more Thrash. Evile, one of the rising UK Thrash bands from the resurgence of Thrash Metal here get to enjoy a sold out gig at The Corporation, Sheffield! With the album tour of Five Serpent’s Teeth ending here tonight it is not surprising that it was sold out. With support from Savage Messiah and local Thrash lot Redmist Destruction the show was going to be a lot of fun.

Opening was Redmist Destruction, local boys who play a lot of the Thrash gigs going through The Corporation. With a fairly classically minded attitude to playing Thrash Metal they played well to a decent sized crowd. Whilst not a very energetic band on stage they tried to make up for it with idle chit chat between songs. Managing to still get some mosh going and plenty of head banging the set went down well for those who turned up early to watch them.

Following up with much more oomph to their presence was Savage Messiah, playing some fast paced Thrash with lots unrelenting heaviness mixed in too. With the crowd head banging and chanting along to the songs they managed to win the crowd over without any issues. Playing brilliantly whilst moving around a lot on stage helped keep the crowd entertained for the set.

So to finish off the Thrash extravaganza tonight is Evile, another set of Yorkshire grown lads and facing an absolutely packed room for their final time on stage for this tour! Kicking straight into the title track of their latest album Five Serpent’s Teeth made the crowd go instantly wild getting the mosh and even some crowd surfing kicking off straight away! With plenty of energy poured into every aspect of their performance, which went down a storm with the entire crowd. All too soon the set was over, however every second of it was brilliantly played and the new album sounded astounding live, it was a high note to end this tour on.

Overall this was Thrastastic from beginning to the end, with every band having the room packed out (admittedly, 20 people can make the room look packed, but it really was this time!), it was a great event for everyone involved and was a great gig from start to finish, in the future there will hopefully be even bigger gigs of this caliber involving the bands tonight.
