Take The Seven
The Corporation seems popular at the moment to end tours, last week Evile finished their tour here and now for Sonic Boom Six to finish their 3 week tour here. Bringing along two local bands: Take The Seven; Pop Punk/Emo type lads from Chesterfield and Arkham Karvers; Reggae/Folk/Ska mash up from Sheffield along for support! With the room slowly filling up to the start of the first band, all was falling in place for a good gig tonight!
So to the opening band, Take The Seven kick straight into their set, playing a mix of catchy Pop Punk/Emo styling’s with a more Rock feel to the vocals. Playing well for a rather sedate crowd but went down okay with those who turned out for doors to see them.
Up next were Arkham Karvers, bringing a mash up of Reggae/Ska/Folk with a bit of Punk mixed in as well. With a great playing ability and some catchy ska/reggae themed riffs, it made for a nice relaxing chilled set. Whilst not the most interesting band to watch live the music went down well for the ever growing crowd.
So onto tonights, and the tours final set; Sonic Boom Six. With the room now looking pretty much full for their set it was set to be a treat! With the crowd skanking/moshing/singing along from the start of the set all the way through made for a great atmosphere. Sonic Boom Six played a great mix of both old, new and even B side tracks, and as an end of tour bonus they extended the set by 2 tracks so they could play all of Laila’s favourite tracks off each of the albums. With both brilliant playing ability and a great presence made for an amazing set, which was clearly by everyone in attendance.
Overall it has been a great night, and a brilliant way to end Sonic Boom Six’s tour, with a great and energetic crowd as well as the extended set from Sonic Boom Six would make this night a night to remember!
