My thoughts….

Back in June 2010, Danni had a vision of bringing her passions of music and photography together and creating a website which combined this. That vision was Resonance UK. The website was created, contacts were made, writers brought on board and things were running better than expected. I was part of the beginning, one of the founding writers and contributed extensively during the early days of Resonance.

Me and Danni lost touch however with what we both wanted, and I decided, after discussions that I would leave the site, letting her and the other writers to continue, and me concentrating on my university and work life instead. I lost touch with Danni after this due to our differences but true friendships work through the problems.

We once had a vision that Resonance would be at the top, rivalling the likes of NME and Kerrang as a music news source. That vision has remained thoughout, but the passion behind it has somehow been lost. Danni has decided to go back to basics, which may seem a backwards step, but the writers from the offset were the passionate ones. They wanted Resonance to succeed, not for their own benefit, but for the benefit of the site.

Since I have not been a part of Resonance I have still visited and kept an eye on its development, but recently have noticed that it hadn’t been updated, I questioned whether it was still a priority, whether it was still happening. Danni assured me it was and asked me to start writing for Resonance UK once more. I gladly accepted and now that University is not a part of my life, I am happy to put as much passion into Resonance as I do into my own work. When I’m passionate about something I become aspirational. Having aspirations allow you to achieve more, allow you to achieve your goals and achieve your visions. Like I said, we once had a vision of being one of the biggest music sites on the internet, what is stopping us? Lets go make the vision a reality.

It’s good to be back.
