Here at Resonance UK we like to do our bit for the local bands around us and today it is the turn of 4 piece metal band “Becoming Rome”
First off who are we talking to today?
“Becoming Rome! Or Josh, Matt, Dan and Tom.”
How long have you guys been together?
“Since 2010 – but we’ve been friends for much longer than that!”
What are your aspirations?
“It would be pretty sweet if we could make some sort of career out of it, but if not then it’s so fine, because we love playing live and meeting new people and all that jazz. We definitely have determination and drive to achieve this, it’s just whether people dig our music our not. Plus if we don’t make it, Tom WILL be a bin man.”
What are your inspirations?
“All our friends and family have inspired us because they have been good to us and without them our music would very different. Musically, we’re inspired by such a wide range that it would be impossible to name all of them, but a few of our main inspriations are, Metallica, N’Sync, Scooter, Oceano and Lady Gaga, pretty diverse but if it wasn’t that way we’d sound like a run of the mill metal band and we believe that to make it somewhere in this day and age you need to molest boundries.”
Sounds intriguing, have you got any tracks we can listen to today?
“Yeah you can listen to and download our most recent song ‘In Arrogance’ from our facebook bandpage.www.facebook.com/BecomingRome. You can also buy our EP we released in late 2010 from iTunes, Play and Amazon amongst other major online retailers. “
What are your upcoming plans? Thinking of setting off on a tour?
“We’ve got loads planned for the next couple of months. Recording with reknowned Bristol producer, Chuck Creese. We’re playing on getting more merchandise, new promotional photos, maybe doing a few weekenders in April as we’re trying to get out of town a lot more. We have a very busy few months!”
Sounds good to us, have you got any singles or albums upcoming?
“We’re finalising plans for an EP release show that should be on the 8th of April, getting a load of wicked bands and hopefully drawing some attention in the local scene. After this we aim to get out a load more and generally tour everywhere in our shabby van.”
Make sure you bag Resonance UK an invite down to that!
What can we expect from Becoming Rome in the future?
“We aren’t playing any gigs for a while whilst we record. Next gig will probably be our EP release! Check out our Facebook for updates on this.www.facebook.com/BecomingRome“
Thank you guys for your time and the best of luck in the future, keep us in touch with any future releases/gigs you have planned.
